Directions


Parque Da Floresta Golf Resort is located in the Western Algarve, approximately 1 hour drive from Faro Airport. Please print the directions below before you leave. Remember to drive on the right hand side and please drive carefully.

Directions to Parque Da Floresta Golf Resort

  • On leaving Faro Airport, turn directly right and follow the signs to Faro. Drive past the car hire
    company depots and continue along this road until you see the signs for Portimao. Stay in the
    right hand lane and take the slip road signposted PORTIMÂO.
  • You will now be on a dual carriageway, called the EN125, heading west toward PORTIMÂO.
    After about 4kms on this road, you will see blue signs for the motorway, you need to be in the
    right lane here again so you can join the motorway in the direction of LISBOA, ALBUFEIRA
    & PORTIMÃO.
  • Approximately 2kms after, you will need to take a new slip road, which is the 2nd on the right
    sign posted LISBOA, LOULE, PORTIMÃO (motorway). You are now on the A22 at this point
    heading west in direction of PORTIMÃO.
  • Stay on the motorway (A22) until you see a sign for LAGOS (J1 NOT J2 which is also signposted LAGOS).
  • Carry on down this road and over the first roundabout (which has no reason to be there).
    When you get to the second roundabout, take the first exit and follow the signs for VILA do
    BISPO and SAGRES. Continue straight on this road N125 passing straight through various
    sets of traffic lights, past the turnoffs for the villages of LUZ, ESPICHE, ALMADENA &
    BURGAU.
  • Approximately 400 metres after you see the supermarket ECOMARCHE on your right you will
    come to a set of traffic lights. Sign posted golfe - indicate and turn right here into the
    PARQUE DA FLORESTA resort.

Restaurants


The resort has 6 bars and restaurants which will certainly offer something for most taste buds. Breakfast, lunch and evening meals are available in golf, resort and beach surroundings. You’ll will also find traditional local and Mediterranean style dishes, healthy options, Italian favourites and gourmet cuisine.

The newest and in our opinion, the best restaurant, called Taberne is only a one minute walk away from the resort and offers fabulous food and a lovely ambience.

At the centre of the Parque da Floresta Resort and with excellent views of the golf course, is O Parque. It offers a menu with a blend of international cuisine combined with traditional local ingredients. The restaurant hosts many social evening events and you could find yourself dining with some well known residents, such as David Seaman.

The Blue Lagoon poolside restaurant has a Mediterranean style and the à la carte menu includes grilled and barbecue food, great snacks and salads, catering for everyone’s needs.

The Spa Terrace adjacent to Spa Floresta serves ‘Asian Fusion’ cuisine. It also offers healthy choices, including salads with fish specialities and freshly squeezed fruit juices.

Vicentino’s Trattoria offers a choice of Italian dishes, including home-made pizzas, fresh pastas with signature sauces, salads, crostini and Italian desserts. If you want to enjoy this food on your private terrace, this restaurant offers a delivery service right to the villa.

The Blue Wave is a cabin style restaurant where you can enjoy lunch or dinner, whilst taking in the stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. During the day menus feature fresh fish, light salads, Italian breads & sandwiches and in the evening, dishes are a little more formal, making use of local ingredients with a Mediterranean twist.

Local Restuarants

You are certainly spoilt for choice in the Algarve with nearby Salema, Lagos, Sagres and many other local villages. We have inlcuded just a few of the many fantastic local restaurants below.

Millenium Jardim (282- 762- 897) A modern restaurant in Lagos with amazing fresh home made pizza’s.

O Celeiro (282-697-144) Just minutes from the resort on the main road. A favourite with many resort guests, it has a Portuguese feel and a mouth watering menu.

Atlantico (282-695-142) Fantastic location overlooking the beautiful Salema beach with fresh fish a speciality.

Local Area


The 5* resort at Parque da Floresta is situated on the boundaries of the Costa Vicentina Nature Reserve, a large area of unspoilt countryside which is widely recognised as a place of special environmental and ecological importance. Stretching along this part of the coast are secluded bays, rugged cliffs and beautiful, uncrowded stretches of sandy beaches with simple bars for you to relax in.

With its maze of narrow, winding streets and bustling squares full of pavement restaurants, bars and night clubs as well as shops of all description, is the historic port of Lagos.

To the west lies Sagres and the famous lighthouse at Cape St Vincent, the most south-westerly point in continental Europe which was known as “the end of the world”, by the great Portuguese mariners who passed this way.

About 25 minutes drive to the north west bring you to the Atlantic Coast with numerous golden, sandy beaches and surfers paradise like Amado, an amazing beach thats literally miles long and often desserted.

With more than 3,000 hours of sunshine a year, the region is perfect for holidays, which can be as active or relaxing as you wish.
